Four Perfect Pebbles

Objective: 
To design an online database that would allow FourPerfectPebbles to maintain their speaking engagements and post them onto their website. They needed to update and delete present and past engagements so that the public would be able to view all the pertinent information easily and effortlessly and request Marion’s services at the appropriate time.

Solution: 
We decided that their needs would best be met if we designed an Access database that would be simple to use and allow the posting and deletion of information.

We began by evaluating the best variables to be used in the database and the least confusing scenario for the end user. The client needed to input their information on a very basic level and we were very mindful of this when designing the user inter-phase. We also wanted the information that would eventually be displayed to be presented in a simple, catalog style, so that the public could sort through the information easily. We beta tested the final product and had our client test the functionality until we were all satisfied that all considerations had been met.

Conclusion:  
The response from our client has been very positive and the objectives have been met. We are pleased to say that our client is very confident with the technology and the ease of use with their database. We enjoyed doing this project immensely due to the fact that our client served to be an inspiration, not too mention a superb author! The friendship that has developed from this job continues to grow and will hopefully continue to do so for years to come.
